Youth Programs

Temple Beth Or’s Youth Programs are part of the NFTY - The Reform Jewish Youth Movement.  NFTY is a movement that builds strong, welcoming, inspired communities through teen-powered engagement.  Together we pursue tikkun olam, personal growth, youth empowerment, and deep connections rooted in Reform Judaism.

Temple Beth Or (RALFTY) Youth Group is part of the Mid-Atlantic Region of NFTY (NFTY-MAR).

Our middle school youth group gives you a great sneak peak into our high school RALFTY.  Monthly events range from movie nights, PJ parties, menorah making, game nights, and more!  Middles schoolers are also invited to attend NFTY's Regional Youth Kallah Program, MAJYK.

Even the youngest kids can get involved!  Breishit holds five events throughout the year that include the whole family.  Past events have included Taschlich at the JCC on Rosh Hashanah afternoon, Tu B'shvat tree planting, dreidel competitions, and fun-filled family services during the year.

At Temple Beth Or, we value Jewish Teen Leadership and aim to provide many opportunities for teens to develop their leadership skills in areas where they are passionate and driven. RALFTY Board is a group of dedicated and outstanding teens who come together to program, lead, and spread the word about youth group events. Ralfty Board is assisted by the RALFTY Cabinet, a large group of teen leaders who work with experienced teen Board members to contribute to the meaningful experiences that RALFTY has to provide. Ralfty Board is elected at the end of the Religious School year, and Cabinet members are slated through an application-process before the beginning of the new school year.
