Biblical Women Speak with Rabbi Marla Feldman
TBOS has been invited to join a book discussion with the Ladies Concordia Society (LCS) of Temple of Israel in Wilmington. LCS is one of the oldest Sisterhoods in the US.
Join LCS on Sunday, February 4th at 2 PM as Rabbi Marla Feldman of WRJ leads a discussion on her book, Biblical Women Speak. This will be a virtual event using Zoom.
Biblical Women Speak employs midrash (interpretative techniques) to discover ten biblical women’s stories from a female point of view and provide insights beyond how ancient male scholars viewed them. Each chapter brings alive a different biblical woman. Rabbi Feldman allows each heroine to speak for herself, detailing how she coped with personal relationships, the fears, tears, and triumph’s that lead her to influence events that ultimately change history. This unique approach places you right there, in the moment.
Join the Brotherhood for a night of poker, Monday, February 5th at 7:00 PM in Satisky Hall. If you are interested in playing, please RSVP to Brian Thorstad at bthorstad@gmail.com.
